I might be an exception to the rule, because in general most software developers are tool junkies, but I am rather reluctant when it come to adopt additional tooling. I don't dispute that additional tools can bring margnial benefits, but the sum-total of all tools is a main contributor to the loss of intellectual control over a software system. And I think few things are more detrimental to a systems health than that. So tooling should not be added (or worse: exchanged for another one) on a whim.
